One week later, I was sitting at her office among inauguration memorabilia, letters, books and old paper cups of coffee. Mrs. Kennedy was the only journalist who covered the desegregation of Boston schools from the inside back in 1975. She rode a bus full of African American while they were stoned and called "niggers". Her story won the Pulitzer Prize for the Boston Globe, she gained respect in the newsroom and she was accepted to Columbia University Journalism School. However "change: was not yet in America.
